TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance

　　 (Apr.10th 2007,TDIA) Apr.10th, during his visiting to Korea, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao came to SKT to visit TD-SCDMA 3G trial net in Korea, and tried TD-SCDMA video phone called to Beijing with Mr. Wang Xudong, the minister of MII. Mr. Wen Jiabao also took look at other latest dual-mode handsets or business handsets on the spot provided by TDIA members such as Datang Mobile, ZTE, Yulong, Sim and Lenovo. Mr. Wen Jiabao gave positive comment on the “Sino-Korea TD-SCDMA Cooperative Project” and the achievements China and Korea had made in international telecommunication standards cooperation.

　　 Korea SKT TD-SCDMA trial net was established according to the “TD-SCDMA Cooperative memorandum” signed by China and Korea in 2006. By the use of successful 3G operative experience of SKT, the trial net was set to copy mature 3G applications to TD-SCDMA so as to certify TD-SCDMA applicative ability. The system equipments were provided by Datang Mobile, ZTE and Samsung and the handsets were provided by handsets enterprises from both China and Korea.

　　 As the positive promoter and organizer of TD-SCDMA industry, TD-SCDMA industry alliance did a lot of work to promote this project in confirming proposal; organizing negotiation; signing and executing agreement; and coordinating the whole project, etc.

　　 The success of SKT Sino-Korea TD-SCDMA telecom cooperative project means TD-SCDMA has made the first step to global market, which will have the important meaning of TD-SCDMA application and internationalization in the future.
