2005 China TD-SCDMA Commercial Development Forum Held

　　(Oct 12th) 2005 China TD-SCDMA commercial development forum is held today. During the forum, representatives from government, enterprises and experts delivered speech to give their opinions and ideas on TD-SCDMA commercialization both by theory and practice. Mr. Lou Qinjian the vice minister of information industry Ministry attends the meeting and give important speech.

　　Mr. Lou said that, TD-SCDMA is the first industry directed and developed by our own international standard, and is also the important practice of our independent and creative way. TD-SCDMA is a milestone in the field of telecommunications standard, with significant meaning of changing the current situation and improving the whole mobile telecommunication industry. It will also give a solid base for developing new standard in the future. The success of TD-SCDMA standard and industrialization is very helpful for other industry to explore a creative and competitive way.

　　2005 is very critical for China’s 3G strategy. As China’s own 3rd generation standard of mobile telecommunication, TD-SCDMA is growing mature with the ability of multi-company (6 system equipment companies, 14 terminal companies, 6 chip companies). TD-SCDMA has already had the ability to build an independent net. This meeting is a transfer-point from industrialization to commercialization.
